if you know me, you know i have a love/hate relationship with canned frosting and nutella.
sometimes i stand at my pantry door…just me + spoon + canned frosting and/or nutella.
pure heaven.
it's a main reason why i run.
so i decided to adapt my own little recipe for some nutella cookies…they've most definitely been given the stamp of approval. yu-um.
5 // preheat your oven to 350º. take your mixture from the freezer and begin rolling and dropping them on a greased cookie sheet. these balls are a little larger than tablespoon size.
6 // bake for no longer than 8 minutes at 350º, remove from oven to let cool.
7 // as they are cooling, drizzle your caramel across the top. the more the merrier. the cookies on their own aren't overly sweet, and the caramel is the perfect addition.
8 // lastly, sprinkle with sea salt and enjoy!

ingredients list //
- (1) cup nutella
- (2) tbsp brown sugar
- (1) egg
- (1) cup whole wheat flour + (1) tbsp more
- (3/4) cup oats
- (2) tbsp milk
- sea salt for sprinkling
- caramel for drizzling
1 // combine your flour + oats + brown sugar
2 // throw in your egg + nutella
3 // thoroughly combine your wet and dry ingredients. i used our kitchenaid and that really nailed it. at this point you'll also want to toss the mixture (bowl and all) right into the freezer for at least 10 minutes, but probably no longer than 20.
4 // while you're snapping pictures of the process, realize that your sister gets non-stop harassed by her hysterical husband...all day every day.
5 // preheat your oven to 350º. take your mixture from the freezer and begin rolling and dropping them on a greased cookie sheet. these balls are a little larger than tablespoon size.

Seriously... If heaven was a dessert, I think these would be it! Sadly though I'm out of nutella because I finished it off by the spoonful a couple days ago...

ReplyDeleteI can't keep nutella in the house because my 15 year old just eats the whole jar spoonful after spoonful. Poor thing, I don't think he can control himself. Better than drugs I guess.

Whyyyyyy? Oh whyyyy do you do this to me? These look freakin' awesome, and I'm hungry like right now, which means I'm going to have to grab a protein bar out of my desk drawer or I will be walking down the hall to our assistant's desk for her chocolate stash. Yes I know where she hides her chocolate and often times can be found stealing it when she's not at work. There. I said it. That felt good.
ReplyDeleteOh these just look absolutely delicious!!!! Combining my two favorite things...Nutella and cookies!
