i blinked and it's farm season.
i blinked and i have a 1.5 and 3.5 year old. seriously. kaye is six months away from being four. how does this even happen?
speaking of kaye - she wore one of my farmer's oldest, softest t-shirts to bed last night. it's a vintage nike...and it was the cutest thing we've ever seen.
i remember wearing my dad's shirts to bed and now kaye gets to. it's like a daughter's right of passage.
but enough sentimentality...it's friday! pop the cork! but don't forget to...

M Y F I V E | confessional time
1 | i do not have a green thumb - yesterday the gals and i headed to town and picked out flowers to pretty up our pots in the front of our house.
i'm not sure why i keep doing this to myself. i've killed everything i've ever planted. but whatever...i thought it would be a fun for the gals.
kaye was super jazzed about one particular pink flower so i got her her own pot + pink flower. she planted it and promised she would water it every day. i hope we can keep it alive.
2 | i have a new show - i blame my brother-in-law. have you heard of broken skull challenge? oh mercy...it's just vicious. basically a group of eight men or women go head to head in different challenges and just beat the sh*t out of each other.
i have this weird competitiveness in me that wonders how i would do in a competition like this. i think my sister is the only one who has ever really seen just how aggressive i can be. that girl and me...we used to get into knock-down drag-out fights. she's pulled me off the kitchen counter by my ankles and we've managed to break a toilet that ended up flooding our entire bathroom.
...kelli? how do you think i'd do? you know...after i put on 15 pounds of straight muscle.
3 | how many kids do you want? - i used to want like...20. actually...like four or five. i really did. then i had kaye and realized so so quickly how hard it is just having one child. now i have two and i'm more than happy with that.
4 | clean machine - i get this super strange sense of satisfaction when i tackle a cleaning project i've been dreading.
if you follow me on snapchat (@karli-bell) you saw i decided my pantry was next on my spring cleaning list. now...our pantry isn't huge, but that doesn't mean that the job didn't suck. i cleared off each shelf, vacuumed, wiped, and reorganized. i ordered these baskets that now hold things like chips // crackers // chopped nuts // snacks...super cute.
now, every time i open our pantry door i get ridiculously happy and a sense of calm comes over me. my pantry. my beautiful, clean, organized pantry.
5 | pillowfort - friends. i know i'm not the first one to report on this, but as we eek closer and closer to the time when we're going to put the girls in the same room...i get more and more excited about a complete room overhaul...and pillowfort has my number.
confession - i want it all. it's so damn cute!
that's it! a super super happy friday! i hope we all have the very best weekend full of relaxation and no whining children. (i'm talking to you, sawyer.)
linky linky time!

I haven't heard of that show before, but I'm telling my husband about it. Sounds like it's right up his alley. I don't mind watching guys fight, but I have a hard time watching girls.
ReplyDeletePillowfort is just straight magic.
ReplyDeleteThe pantry is on my to-do list this weekend. I'm always looking on Pinterest for good organizing tips. The way it is now makes me cringe.
ReplyDeletehave a good weekend!

No green thumb here either but I do try!! I'm so happy my MIL (who lives down the street) is an expert in that dept so she helps me a ton. I can't wait to see what you do with the girls room!
ReplyDeleteYes to wearing dad's shirts to bed!
ReplyDeleteUh oh...I always say I want 4 or 5. I also get more terrified of birth the longer I wait to have this 4 or 5 kids so there's that.
I have the blackest thumb ever...I have fake plants in my classroom and Chad won't let me touch anything green at home! LOVE the Pillowfort collection...we just did both kids' rooms last year, when we moved, and I already want to change them! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI used to think I wanted a lot of kids too.. and it bugs me when celebrities say dumb things like "Oh I want a million kids..." really? Have one, then tell me how you feel about things. It's harder than people think!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the pillowfort stuff!! My mom is here this week and I need to get some spring cleaning done for sure!! There's just something about organizing and purging that makes me feel so good!!
ReplyDeleteI have to check out pillowfort! And that show sounds hilarious! What kind of plants does Farmer farm? I have a complete black thumb too! And just followed you on Snapchat! Can't wait to see your pantry progress--I need to do that in ours!

Ridiculous how excited a project like cleaning out the pantry can make me!! I cleaned and organized mine last July and slowly but surely it's become a little out of control once again. I have zero green thumb but do the same thing every single year. Mine have made it two weeks...two....that might be a record! Happy Friday Karli!

I'm obsessed with Pillowfort too. Of course, the things I want are all out of stock. Will they ever restock?? Who knows. If they don't, I suppose my wallet will thank me.
ReplyDeleteI'm still crazy and want like a bajillion kids.
I don't have a green thumb either. Like, not even a little.
I used to want 6 boys. Then I had Mason and now I laugh at myself. He's like having 6 boys at times! And yes to the Pillowfort collection! I want it all.
